Earlier this month, former WWE SmackDown Women's Champion Carmella announced her pregnancy and went on a hiatus. She recently provided an update regarding her future with the company and whether she will return to the ring.
Earlier this year, Carmella returned to the company after a long hiatus. The Princess of Staten Island qualified for the Elimination Chamber match but failed to beat Asuka inside the chamber. After a while, Mella stopped appearing on weekly television and didn't get to team up with Chelsea Green.
Earlier this month, she announced her pregnancy with her husband and fellow WWE commentator Corey Graves. Speaking to The Messenger, Mella provided an update regarding her future inside the squared circle after delivering her first child:
"I love working for WWE, I love performing, and it's just such a passion of mine. I've done it for 10 years so it's so crazy to be away from it," she said. [H/T - The Messenger]

It's safe to say Mella will return to the company in the near future. In 2016 Mella arrived on the main roster and joined the blue brand. It will be a while before The Princess of Staten Island wrestles inside the squared circle.
Carmella is the only female WWE Superstar to win the Money in the Bank contract twice
After making her main roster debut, Carmella worked on the blue brand for years. The following year, she took part in the inaugural Women's Money in the Bank ladder match and won the contract with the help of James Elseworth.
Daniel Bryan, General Manager at the time, stripped her of the briefcase and booked a rematch on SmackDown. However, Mella made more history as she became the first female to win the match twice.
The Princess of Staten Island went on to win more gold in WWE when she cashed in her contract on Charlotte Flair on SmackDown after WrestleMania 34 and won the title.
In 2021, Carmella teamed up with Queen Zelina after she won the Queen's Crown Tournament. The two went on to beat Rhea Ripley and Nikki A.S.H. to win the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships before losing at WrestleMania 38.
