The last time fans saw Braun Strowman, he was busy feuding with Bronson Reed on RAW. Both monsters had a brutal feud that lasted weeks, and they took each other to hell. They competed in a Last Monster Standing match on the September 30 episode of RAW. Strowman picked up the win with the help of Seth Rollins. Following this feud, Reed began a feud with Rollins while Strowman wasn't seen on TV.

Tonight on WWE SmackDown, Carmelo Hayes was advertised to take on a mystery opponent. Before the match, he met GM Nick Aldis backstage and confidently told him that he was going to make light work of this mystery opponent.
However, all that confidence drained from the former NXT Champion's face after Braun Strowman's music hit. None of Hayes' offenses worked on the Monster Among Men. Strowman was able to put Hayes away within minutes using a running power slam. This was his first televised outing since his Last Monster Standing match against Bronson Reed in September.

If ever given a chance to change a storyline, Sunil would have booked Roman Reigns to end The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak instead of Brock Lesnar.
