Cathy Kelley sends a message to Samantha Irvin after her surprise WWE exit

WWE backstage interviewer Cathy Kelley has responded to Samantha Irvin's sudden departure from the company. Irvin announced her exit in a lengthy Twitter post.

Samantha Irvin is no longer with WWE. The popular ring announcer revealed on X/Twitter last night that she is leaving the Stamford-based promotion.

Shortly after Samantha shared the heartfelt message on social media, her close friend and WWE co-worker Cathy Kelley responded to her with emojis.

McKenzie Mitchell on Samantha Irvin's success in WWE

McKenzie Mitchell worked for WWE as an interviewer between 2019-23. She was quite close to Irvin during her WWE run. Earlier this year, she had a chat with MuscleManMalcolm and had high praise for Irvin:

“I love it, I truly do. When Samantha came in, I helped train her on some backstage interviewing skills because when she first came into NXT, she was down in Florida with her, Megan Morant, myself. I was just kind of trying to help them learn then like, here’s the standard interview but make it your own. Here’s the tools, but have the ability to fluctuate and make it yours because when it’s your interview, it’s your time to shine. You may only have, ‘What are your thoughts?’ How do you transcend on television to where people are understanding that that is your personality in a matter of five seconds." [H/T Fightful]

Samantha's announcement ahead of RAW came as a shock to many. She did an incredible job as WWE's ring announcer in a short time, and many fans consider her to be one of the greatest of all time when it comes to ring announcing. It remains to be seen what's next for Irvin now that she's no longer with the Stamford-based promotion.
