Braun Strowman made a name for himself in WWE due to his incredible feats of strength. This helped him get over with the fans, and he eventually won the Universal Championship. Strowman's dominance in the ring continued after his return to the Stamford-based promotion. Given his list of accomplishments, Chad Gable wasn't pleased to learn that he had to face the 385-pound monster on RAW this week.
The match was set up by Adam Pearce after Gable walked into his office and demanded a rematch against Sami Zayn by blaming his own Alpha Academy stablemates for his loss at Clash at the Castle. However, Pearce told him that he had to get to the back of the line and earn another title opportunity. Hence, Gable asked Pearce to set up a match for tonight, and the RAW General Manager obliged. His opponent turned out to be none other than Braun Strowman.

Although Gable put on a fight initially, it didn't take The Monster of all Monsters much time or effort to steamroll through Chad. He picked up the win after slamming Gable on the mat.
Needless to say, this night probably didn't turn out the way Chad Gable had envisioned it.
