While the initial plan was reportedly to make Elimination Chamber a Raw-exclusive Pay-Per-View and Fastlane a Smackdown Live-exclusive PPV, things have now switched. Elimination Chamber is set to be a Smackdown Live PPV while Fastlane will be a Raw PPV, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
A user on Reddit who claimed to be part of the media claimed that “New Year’s Revolution” was spotted on the sheet of PPVs, and it was said to be a Smackdown Live PPV, thus making Elimination Chamber a Raw exclusive-PPV.
However, this does not appear to be the case. Usually, both brands each get one PPV before a Big-4 PPV. However, it should be noted that before the brand split, a picture of a sheet was leaked regarding the remaining PPVs of 2016 and their brands and venues and dates, and as it turned out, the information was accurate.

However, New Year’s Revolution is now extremely unlikely as WWE normally wouldn’t announce a PPV or a Network special on such short notice.
While it is true that Raw has more members on their roster, it does not mean that it will be difficult to find members for a Chamber match. The Elimination Chamber is considered to be the most fearful structure in WWE, and six Superstars participate in the match.
It is likely that the WWE World Championship will be defended inside the chamber. Another possibility is that the Champion at the time will have another match, while the person who will face the champion at Wrestlemania 33 will be decided within the chamber.
Either way, after the Elimination Chamber, it is likely that the person who walks out as the champion will be the one defending the title at Wrestlemania 33.
Since it is the final Smackdown Live exclusive PPV, it will be the show to set some of the blue brand matches for Wrestlemania in stone . It will be interesting to see how they play out the feuds with nearly two months to build to Wrestlemania.
Fastlane will be the final stop for Raw on the road to Wrestlemania.
Elimination Chamber is set to take place in February at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona.
