Charlotte Flair shared a cryptic update on social media today amid speculation about her WWE return. The veteran has been out with a major injury since December 8, 2023.
Flair suffered a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus during a singles match against Damage CTRL's Asuka last year on WWE SmackDown. She has not competed in a match in 2024, and a recent report suggests her return to the ring will not take place in the near future.
Amid speculation about her in-ring return, Flair took to her Instagram story to share a cryptic message. She shared artwork of herself entering the ring with her robe, and you can check out her post on Instagram by clicking here.
The 38-year-old has been providing updates for her fans as she recovers from the devastating injury suffered last year.
Bill Apter claims Charlotte Flair's return could mean trouble for popular WWE star
Wrestling veteran Bill Apter recently suggested that Charlotte Flair's return could cause issues for Tiffany Stratton on WWE SmackDown.
The Buff Barbie emerged victorious in the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder match earlier this year and can cash in for a title match at a time and place of her choosing. Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine podcast, Apter suggested Flair's eventual return might be an issue for Stratton on the blue brand.
"She did because she is the... Nothing wrong with any of the other ladies. I think Chelsea was very close, but in terms of marketing and viable for a match against one of the champions, it's gotta be her. She looked tremendous. She has got that athletic background. My question is, I don't know when this is gonna happen, but the woman's division has changed so much. What's gonna happen in your opinion when Charlotte Flair clicks that button and says, 'I am ready to come back,'" said Apter. [1:57 onwards]
