Charlotte Flair has reacted to Jey Uso's incredible Intercontinental Championship win last Monday on WWE RAW. She delivered a one-word message to the newly crowned champion on social media.
Main Event Jey challenged Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Title on RAW after winning a couple of qualifying matches to determine the number one contender for the gold. It was a hard-hitting back-and-forth match, with the former Bloodline member finally overcoming the odds to win his first singles championship.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, The Queen reacted to WWE's reel showcasing Jey's win and post-match celebration. The currently injured star wrote a one-word message to acknowledge the new Intercontinental Champion.
"Yeet! 🔥🔥🔥," Flair tweeted.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Charlotte Flair knows a thing or two about winning singles championships. In fact, she has won 16 singles titles in her WWE career, 14 of which were on the main roster and two in NXT.
Flair has been out of action since December 2023 when she suffered a serious knee injury in a match against Asuka. She was diagnosed with a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus, and had to undergo surgery in January. The Queen has been rehabbing her injury since and there's still no timetable for her recovery.
Kevin Nash drops hint about Charlotte Flair's return
On the latest episode of the Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash discussed Nia Jax's reign as WWE Women's Champion. Nash was asked which current star would have a chance at beating Jax and his "best bet" was Charlotte Flair, who he saw recently at the Performance Center.
"Charlotte Flair at 5'10" probably is your best bet against [Nia Jax]. I saw Charlotte back at the Performance Center with a knee brace getting ready to make a return," Nash said. [0:48 - 1:07]
Charlotte has been teasing her return on social media but there's no confirmation about her being cleared by WWE's medical team.
While meniscus and MCL tears have a relatively short recovery timeline, a torn ACL usually needs nine to 12 months to heak. She underwent surgery in January, so her potential return date technically can be from September to December.
