Charlotte Flair has been absent for the entire year so far, but she has hinted at a return now while threatening another absent WWE star. The Queen took to social media to post about it.

Last year, Charlotte Flair suffered a devastating knee injury in December, which left her with a long recovery period. Although it has been more than nine months, The Queen does not appear to be ready for a WWE return yet. There's no word on when she'll return given the severity of the injury she suffered. However, she has sent a warning to her long-time rival, Asuka, on the latter's birthday.

The two stars are quite familiar with each other, having been inexorably linked together over most of their careers. The two love each other, but at the same time, they appear to be destined to be permanent rivals as well. While Asuka commented on her relationship with Charlotte Flair and said that it was the best, The Queen didn't follow up on her earlier birthday wish with only kind words.

She agreed that the two of them had the best relationship, but at the same time told Asuka to never go easy on her when they meet again, possibly hinting that she was nearing a comeback. She added that she won't go easy on her rival either, posting a GIF of her beating the star down with a kendo stick, brutally.

Charlotte Flair's WWE return will be one fans have been waiting for

While Charlotte Flair does tend to win each and everything she competes for, the star has been away for the best part of a year now and fans have been taking to social media to let her know that they miss her.

When she returns, her absence will have helped her popularity, but it remains to be seen the manner in which she returns - as a babyface or a heel.

Other than that, the WWE Universe will have to wait to see if she returns and directly goes after the top champion again - a move that she's already famous enough for.
