Charlotte had her ring name changed from “Charlotte” to “Charlotte Flair” around the time of Hell In A Cell. She spoke to the Orlando Sentinel recently, and regarding the name extension, she said:
"Obviously we haven't shied away from being my dad's daughter, but I think it was the company's way of saying she can do it and she can own it. And that's pretty cool. It's weird to have two names now.
It makes for a longer [autograph] signing. My hand's cramping more. But I think it was cool the company was putting that much thought into my growth and my character. It really does make a difference"
Charlotte is undoubtedly the star of the female division who WWE trust the most. She constantly featured in the main feuds of the women’s division and in the Divas title picture until Wrestlemania 32, she subsequently entered the Women’s title picture after Wrestlemania 32.

One of the biggest allegations against Charlotte was of her living off her father’s name and using it to get ahead.

However, on NXT and the main roster, she grew tremendously as a performer without using her father’s credentials. When Ric Flair was paired with her on the main roster, it was used to get heat on her, with Ric Flair acting as a catalyst for her heel turn.
She eventually turned on her father to get even more heat.
She has been feuding with Sasha Banks since the end of June. The Raw Women’s Championship has switched back and forth multiple times between them, with Sasha winning the title from her thrice on Raw, and Charlotte winning it back from her twice on Pay-Per-View.
Sasha’s most recent victory was on the last episode of Raw in Charlotte’s hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, which also saw Ric Flair endorsing The Boss:
The two women are likely to face off again at the next Raw PPV – Roadblock: End Of The Line. It will be interesting to see if WWE decide to keep Charlotte’s “undefeated” singles PPV streak alive by putting the title back on her again.
There has been some criticism over the “hot potatoing” of the Raw Women’s Championship, and also criticism for the involvement of only two women in the championship scene.
There seemed to have been a build towards a Charlotte vs Bayley feud, but that may not happen just yet. One possibility is to have a rematch between Charlotte and Sasha and end the feud so that Charlotte doesn’t suffer a loss at a PPV and they can move on to their next feuds.
However, in doing that, there is lesser time to build the other feuds as now only two episodes of Raw remain until Roadblock: End Of The Line.
