Chelsea Green made a new enemy ahead of her major title match tonight on WWE SmackDown. The veteran became the inaugural Women's United States Champion last month at Saturday Night's Main Event.

Green defeated Michin (Mia Yim) at Saturday Night's Main Event to capture the title. The two stars will be squaring off once again tonight on SmackDown with the Women's United States Championship on the line.

Ahead of tonight's edition of the blue brand, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis and B-Fab had a backstage conversation. Aldis noted that The Street Profits would be right back in the hunt for the WWE Tag Team Championship when they make their return from injury.

Chelsea Green interrupted the conversation and complained about having to defend her title against Michin tonight. B-Fab noted that she was in the middle of a conversation with Aldis, and Green now had her attention.

"Excuse me, rudeness, we were in the middle of something here. Now look, I know how you love your attention, but you have my attention now, and I don't know if you want that. But since you're so worried about defending your title in Portland, or anywhere else, I could just take it," said B-Fab.

Michin came up short against Green at Saturday Night's Main Event but did defeat the SmackDown star in a Dumpster match last year.

WWE legend reacts to Chelsea Green's appearance on last week's SmackDown

Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell recently shared his thoughts on how the company booked Chelsea Green last week on SmackDown.

Michin defeated Piper Niven in a singles match last week on the blue brand, and Green was ringside for the bout. Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk show, Mantell shared that he was a fan of the segment simply because the Women's United States Champion was on the screen.

"Was Chelsea Green on the screen? I liked it. She don't gotta do nothing. Just be herself. They're telling the story. Piper Niven got beat, doesn't hurt her. Michin needed a win just to stay relative. It accomplished what they set out for it to do." [From 29:32 onwards]

Michin has never won a singles title during her time in WWE. It will be interesting to see if she can defeat Chelsea Green to capture the Women's United States Championship tonight on WWE SmackDown.
