Two years into Chelsea Green's WWE return and the 33-year-old has a shot at making history. There has never been a women's mid-card championship belt before in World Wrestling Entertainment. Now there are two.

SmackDown's General Manager Nick Aldis introduced the Women's United States Championship first, and the inaugural titleholder will be decided tonight at Saturday Night's Main Event. It is going to be Chelsea Green vs. Michin with the belt on the line. Green's husband, Matt Cardona, has a message for her ahead of her big night.

Taking to X, Matt Cardona noted that he was proud of Chelsea Green already, whether she wins the belt tonight or not. Be that as it may, Cardona also added that there would be a riot if she did not win.

Here's what Matt Cardona wrote:

"Win, lose, or draw…I’m beyond pride of my wife. But…CHELSEA OR RIOT!"

Chelsea Green kickstarted her second WWE run in January 2023 when she returned at the Royal Rumble event. Within a year she won her first belt, the Women's Tag Team Championship, alongside Sonya Deville. Things did not bode well for her as Deville got injured. But then Piper Niven came along and they reigned together for 154 days.

Chelsea Green shares her WWE comeback story

Several months before the Royal Rumble event, Chelsea Green texted WWE CCO Triple H, who had taken over the company's creative team following Vince McMahon's retirement. In the text, she simply asked for her job back, and The Game obliged, much to her surprise.

Speaking on the Out of Character podcast, the 33-year-old revealed that she asked for her job back because her first run in the company did not pan out the way she hoped, and that her story was not done. Furthermore, Green also added that there is no shame in asking for things.

"I texted him [Triple H], and I said, 'I want my job back,' and he said, 'Okay, call me,’ and I was shocked. I want to go back to WWE. My story is not finished. He said on that phone call, ‘I absolutely would love to have you back. Just tell me when’s a good time for you to start.’"

Much like Chelsea, her opponent, Michin, has also never won a belt on WWE's main roster yet. Michin also returned to the company mere months before Green did. Perhaps this makes it a difficult scenario for the WWE Universe to decide, as both of them deserve a shot at becoming the inaugural Women's United States Champion.
