Inaugural WWE Women's United States Champion Chelsea Green's celebration ended abruptly when Mia Yim, aka Michin, appeared with a kendo stick. Today, Green sent a message after the show.
Earlier this month, Chelsea Green made history in the Stamford-based promotion when she pinned Mia Yim, aka Michin, to become the inaugural Women's United States Champion. The win called for a celebration, and Green did just that on the recent edition of Friday Night SmackDown.
During the show, Michin crashed the celebration and went after Chelsea Green and Piper Niven with a kendo stick. However, the champion's spirit wasn't broken, nor did she lose her title. Later, she claimed fans should campaign for her to be the next president.
"CHELSEA 4 PRESIDENT @WWE red white & Green 🇺🇸🗽," Green said.
Michin isn't done with Chelsea Green after WWE SmackDown
Chelsea Green slowly rose to the top in WWE following her return to the Stamford-based promotion under Triple H's creative leadership. After having a successful reign as champions alongside Piper Niven, Green went after the Women's United States Championship.
During this, she met her old-time rival Mia Yim and pinned her to win the title at Saturday Night's Main Event. In an interview with Belal Jaber on Wesh 2 News, the 35-year-old star revisited her rivalry with Green and stated that she wouldn't be done with the star anytime soon as she's coming for the title.
"So, I posted this right after my match at Saturday Night's Main Event, where 2024 was my year of recognition, where it was for people to recognize me and what I can fully do. 2025 is going to be redemption where I'm coming after mine, at the end of the day. I was this close to getting that US Championship, and I could smell it, and now that I got that scent, I'm not going to stop before I get it," Michin said. [From 01:10 to 01:44]
Following the recent show, it's safe to say Michin will get another shot in the coming year.
