WWE Superstar Chelsea Green recently revealed that she is currently working on a project outside the Stamford-based company. The Hot Mess shared a social media update from the set of her new venture.
The 33-year-old is among the most character-driven performers on the main roster. Unfortunately, Green has not found much success inside the squared circle, losing more often than not. Her most recent in-ring appearance was on the October 4 edition of WWE SmackDown, where she lost to Michin in a Dumpster Match.
Chelsea Green recently took to her X (fka Twitter) account to share pictures of herself from her first day on the set of the television series, Blue Ridge. The former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion revealed she would be playing the role of Shelby Hughes in the series, whose first season aired in April earlier this year, and the second season is scheduled to premiere next year.
"Day 1 on the set of BLUE RIDGE as Shelby Hughes 🏎️ @insp_tv," wrote Green.

Chelsea Green strives to be like former WWE Champion
Chelsea Green has recently claimed she wants to be the female version of The Miz. In addition to being one of the most decorated performers in the wrestling promotion, the A-Lister has been part of several projects outside the squared circle as well.
During a recent appearance on The Masked Man Show, Chelsea Green expressed her desire to replicate the former two-time WWE Champion. The SmackDown Superstar claimed she wanted to do everything, including movies, having matches with celebrities, and making everyone laugh. Green added she believes that The Miz had had a perfect career.
"I sat down, when I first got called up in 2019, I sat down and said, ‘I want to be the female Miz.’ A lot of people say I’m the female R-Truth. I want to be the female Miz. I want everything. I want you to put me in a movie, and you believe my acting and trust that I’m that character. I want to go out and put a celebrity over and make them look amazing and make them look like a star. I want to make you laugh. I want to do all those things. I think Miz is living the perfect balance of ridiculousness, realism, work, and life. I think he had the perfect career. That is who I’m striving to be and who I want to emulate my career after. Whenever he does something, I’m like, ‘I want to do that.’ I’m jealous of that," she said. [H/T: PWMania]
