WWE Superstar Chelsea Green will be one of the six women competing in the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match. Her husband Matt Cardona (fka Zack Ryder) recently claimed that the 33-year-old winning the contest would be 'best for business.'

The former Women's Tag Team Champion pinned Michin during a triple-threat match on the most recent edition of Friday Night SmackDown to advance to the premium live event. The contest also featured Bianca Belair. RAW Superstar IYO SKY is the only other performer to have qualified for the match until now.

Former Intercontinental Champion Matt Cardona recently took to X to show support for his wife, Chelsea Green. The 39-year-old reshared a post while mentioning that the latter becoming Ms. Money in the Bank would be the right move:

"It’s best for business…" he wrote.

Chelsea Green shares her take on Matt Cardona's potential WWE return

Matt Cardona was released from the Stamford-based promotion in 2020 after being with the company for over 15 years, performing under the ring name Zack Ryder. Following his departure from WWE, Cardona put forth some highly impressive performances on the independent scene to win several championships across different promotions.

During an appearance on the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast, Chelsea Green stated that she believes the Long Island Iced Z will return to WWE. She also talked about her desire to team up with her husband following his return to the company:

"I am patiently waiting. Because not that I want to be partnered up with him [Matt Cardona] in WWE. That would be great. I think we could have an amazing mixed match, tag team division, whatever it is. But I don’t know. I don’t know why, I would love to know why. I would love to be a fly on the wall of kind of like the meetings of the top guys in WWE. But I do feel like in my heart of hearts, it’s only a matter of time. It feels crazy that he wouldn’t be," she said.
