CM Punk is set to have his first match on WWE Monday Night RAW in over a decade. Ahead of this match, Chris Van Vliet predicted that The Second City Saint would emerge victorious and explained his reasoning.

The Best in The World will collide with Seth Rollins on January 6, 2025, as the red brand debuts on the Netflix streaming platform. Punk's last match on WWE RAW occurred on January 20, 2014, when he defeated Billy Gunn in a singles match.

That being said, on his AskCVV edition of the INSIGHT podcast, Chris Van Vliet made a bold prediction, stating that The Voice of The Voiceless would defeat Seth Rollins in the 46-year-old's first match on Monday Night RAW in over 10 years.

He believed this win would propel CM Punk towards a successful 2025 and increase the latter's chances of main-eventing WWE WrestleMania 41, possibly even through a victory in the Men's Royal Rumble Match.

A former WWE writer just went after JBL for his comments HERE

"If I had to make a prediction, I'm going to give this one to CM Punk. I'm going to predict that CM Punk wins this because it sets CM Punk for a much bigger 2025. It just seems to me that CM Punk winning this would allow him to continue his momentum into WrestleMania," he said.

Chris added:

"There's still a real good possibility I think of CM Punk headlining WrestleMania; one of those two nights. I think a lot has to depend on what happens at Royal Rumble, and I think CM Punk could be someone who wins the Royal Rumble." [From 08:47 to 09:25]

WWE veteran praises CM Punk and Seth Rollins' promo battle on RAW

During the December 30, 2024, edition of the red brand, the two former WWE World Champions engaged in a heated verbal exchange. After a barrage of insults, Seth Rollins and CM Punk locked eyes in an intense staredown.

On his Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast, the veteran praised the promo battle between The Straight Edge Superstar and The Visionary. The former WWE manager claimed that Punk and Rollins "work well together" and that he would like to see the animosity expressed through their promos translate into a highly intense match on January 6.

"I think of the better interviews [segments] I've heard in several years. I think those guys [Seth Rollins and CM Punk] work well together. I think CM Punk, though, he cut to the quick as they say, and I think he brought blood first and that made me want to see the first. So I want to see if they can put this intensity that they had in that promo [battle] if they can put that in their match, it'd be worth seeing," he added.

Only time will tell if The Second City Saint can defeat The Revolutionary and climb the ladder of success, ultimately culminating in a main event match at WrestleMania.
