CM Punk and Seth Rollins made their case this past Monday as WWE continues to build up their inevitable showdown. Despite Rollins speaking the truth about Punk's history, the fans have strong sentiments towards The Best in the World. They want the former AEW World Champion to succeed.

WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray and David LaGreca discussed the unusual division among fans here, with Punk being favored over Rollins. Ray emphatically stated that the fans will always root for CM Punk because he is as real as it comes, whether it is as an on-screen character or off. In fact, they are sort of the same. On the flip side, his rival has tried different gimmicks in the last decade, and his love for fashion is a bit of a hit-or-miss.

Speaking on the Busted Open podcast, Bully Ray feels that if The Best in the World steps into the ring for a promo with The Visionary, and the former simply tells the latter to "lose the goofy get-up," that will destroy Seth Rollins:

"If Punk ever rolled this grenade into Seth Rollins's room, it will completely destroy Seth Rollins. If they were ever in a face to face, and Punk said his piece, and Seth Rollins said his piece, and Punk looked at Seth and went, 'And do us all the favor. Lose the goofy get-up. It's not doing anything for you,' he's done." [From 21:24 to 21:58]

Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.

Meanwhile, Tommy Dreamer had a different point of view. On the Busted Open podcast, Dreamer stated that he believes what Rollins is saying, and it is dangerous territory for WWE.

CM Punk makes his intentions clear heading into WrestleMania season

CM Punk has tunnel vision right now, which is to headline WrestleMania 41. The Second City Saint hasn't competed at The Show of Shows since 2013.

Throughout his first run in WWE, The Second City Saint never got to close the spectacle, which bothered him. He reiterated this even after leaving the company last year. According to a new report, Punk's match with Seth Rollins will likely happen on January 6, 2025, when RAW will officially be streaming for the first time on Netflix.

This opens the door for both men to possibly go their separate ways before WrestleMania 41, although it need not happen that way.
