Former WWE Champion CM Punk recently disclosed that he owed a main event match at Madison Square Garden to a seven-time champion. The name in question is Damian Priest.
The Archer of Infamy is a former two-time RAW Tag Team Champion, two-time SmackDown Tag Team Champion, one-time United States Champion, one-time NXT North American Champion, and one-time World Heavyweight Champion.
Since returning to WWE, Punk has primarily faced Drew McIntyre on TV and Dominik Mysterio in house shows. The Voice of The Voiceless hasn't had many opportunities to compete against other top-tier wrestlers.
During an interview with The Hot Tag on 103.5 KISS FM, CM Punk expressed his desire to face the former Judgment Day member in a main event match at Madison Square Garden. The former WWE Champion mentioned that the two men had a loose agreement for this to happen as a dark match, but Damian Priest couldn't make it due to flight issues. Punk felt that he owed Priest this opportunity.

"Damian Priest is another one. I got a loose promise with him that me and him are going to main event at the [Madison Square] Garden. He was supposed to main event the Garden in a dark match, [but] he had really bad flight trouble couple of months back so he didn’t make it. I owe him that at least. I think I told him that," he said. (From 08:12 to 08:31)

Both CM Punk and Damian Priest will compete at WWE Bad Blood
The two WWE Superstars will compete in separate matches at the upcoming Bad Blood Premium Live Event on October 5, 2024.
CM Punk will face Drew McIntyre in a brutal Hell in a Cell Match. They have already faced off twice before. The Scottish Warrior won at SummerSlam, and at Bash in Berlin, The Straight Edge Superstar emerged victorious.
Elsewhere on the Bad Blood match card, Damian Priest will face Finn Balor in a singles match. Their rivalry ignited at The Biggest Party of The Summer when The Prince's interference cost The Archer of Infamy the World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther.
It remains to be seen if the babyfaces can settle their score against their heel opponents at the premium live event.
