WWE Superstars CM Punk and Drew McIntyre were involved in an intense rivalry, which saw the two lock horns thrice in two months. The two former World Champions had the fans hooked for over half a year even before stepping inside the squared circle. The wrestling promotion has rewarded their epic feud with a major accolade before the end of the year.
It all started with CM Punk getting injured after being hit with Drew McIntyre's Future Shock DDT during the Royal Rumble Match. The Scottish Warrior attacked The Second City Saint's injured tricep on the following RAW after claiming he intentionally injured Punk. The Best in the World got his revenge even before stepping inside the ring by costing his rival the World Heavyweight Championship on multiple occasions.
McIntyre and Punk squared off in a match for the first time at SummerSlam, with Seth Rollins as the Special Guest Referee. The Scotsman secured the win in a controversial finish. However, the former AEW star fought back to win their Strap Match at Bash in Berlin and a Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood.
WWE recently posted a video on YouTube to list the Top 10 rivalries of 2024. It features several top superstars, including Cody Rhodes, The Rock, Rhea Ripley, the entire Bloodline, and more. However, the rivalry between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre was at the top spot.

Drew McIntyre returned to WWE after nearly two months
Drew McIntyre was absent from WWE television following his loss to CM Punk at Bad Blood. The latter also announced his hiatus on the RAW following the premium live event.
While CM Punk made his return on the November 22 edition of Friday Night SmackDown to side with the Roman Reigns-led Bloodline on Paul Heyman's request, McIntyre showed up on the latest edition of Monday Night RAW. He attacked Sami Zayn to end the show after the latter lost to Seth Rollins in the main event.
Earlier on the show, a mystery suspect attacked Jey Uso backstage. As McIntyre took to Sami Zayn after the main event, many fans believe he is responsible for the attack on Uso as well.
