WWE star CM Punk picked up a hard-fought victory this week on RAW. Punk went up against Seth "Freakin" Rollins on the Netflix premiere of the red show.
The Best in the World delivered a stellar performance against Rollins on Monday. They put on an incredible main event, setting the tone for RAW's run on Netflix. Punk won the encounter with two successive GTSs on The Visionary.
The Best in the World was at the post-show press conference this week. CM Punk mentioned that he would probably cross paths with Seth Rollins again. He also hinted at changing his finisher. Punk claimed that being hit with the GTS a couple of times during the match stung him badly, and he was guilt-ridden after having used the maneuver on countless opponents over the years.
"I don't see Seth just rueing over and giving up. I hope he sleeps horribly tonight and he is plagued with nightmares of me driving my knee into his face. By the way, I might have to change my finish because I have such guilt for hitting people with GTSs for years and years now. I've never been hit with one except for tonight and that really s**ked." The Best in the World said he was now focused on winning the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble match and headlining WrestleMania. He put world champions Cody Rhodes and Gunther on notice, mentioning that they were on his list of targets.
It will be interesting to see whether CM Punk indeed wins the Royal Rumble match and goes on to fulfill his goal of headlining WrestleMania this year.
