CM Punk lost his match at WWE SummerSlam. After the match, he hugged a McMahon family member.

Stephanie McMahon was spotted in the crowd at WWE SummerSlam as she was enjoying the show as a fan at ringside. One of the most anticipated matches of the night was CM Punk's bout with Drew McIntyre. For several months, both men have been at each other's throats.

This feud started back at the Royal Rumble when Drew McIntyre took credit for Punk's injury. He continued to mock the Straight Edge Superstar after winning the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40. This resulted in Punk attacking him, which caused Damian Priest to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Drew.

For the next few months, this rivalry would only grow more intense, which caused RAW GM Adam Pearce to assign Seth Rollins as the special guest referee for the match. The match was as intense as expected and ended with McIntyre as the winner. Following the bout, CM Punk went to Stephanie McMahon and hugged the former CEO. This was a special moment for Punk as it was his first televised WWE singles match in 10 years.

Kenny Bolin has changed his opinion on CM Punk after WWE SummerSlam

CM Punk losing at SummerSlam came as a bit of a shock to everyone as it was his first televised singles match since his return. The result got a lot of people talking online, including those who have worked with the Straight Edge Superstar.

During an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Kenny Bolin (who has worked with Punk in OVW) mentioned that he always considered Punk selfish, but his opinion changed after SummerSlam as he didn't expect Punk to take the pinfall loss.

"I've always viewed Punk as a selfish f**k who just wanted what was best for him. That's how I've always viewed him. Tonight, he showed me different. Whether he had any say in the matter or not, I don't know." Bolin continued, "But he did take the fall. I wasn't looking for it. I figured his first match back in 10 years, that f***er's gonna win, it's probably in his contract. And he didn't. So my hat's off to him for doing that." [From 41:34 onwards]
