CM Punk's opening segment of SmackDown was certainly one to remember. The otherwise-RAW exclusive star made a big impact on SmackDown, and his segment saw a wholesome reunion with a major twist.
Naturally, the first topic that Punk addressed was Drew McIntyre and Clash at the Castle 2024. Comparing McIntyre's situation to his own from Money in the Bank 2011 (where Punk won the WWE Title in Chicago), Punk would accuse McIntyre of dropping the ball and going home.
There was a big unexpected moment that occurred as CM Punk's old manager Paul Heyman came out and the two hugged it out in what was a rather wholesome reunion after 11 years. However, things quickly took a big twist.

Heyman, showing no approval of Solo Sikoa and his allies Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, warned Punk to get out of the arena as soon as possible before The Bloodline took over and took him out.
Punk didn't seem scared of The Bloodline, but more puzzled at the state of Heyman, who told his old client to take him as well.
Surely enough, The Bloodline came out and Punk would end up having to be saved from the attack by The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes.
