Former WWE Champion CM Punk appeared on the latest episode of NXT and cut a promo in the ring. He explained why he decided to show up and revealed that he had spoken to Shawn Michaels.
The Second City Saint opened Monday Night RAW last night, and he was not in a happy mood at all. His rival Drew McIntyre broke his bracelet, and a Hell in A Cell match was set up at Bad Blood between him and The Scottish Warrior. Punk agreed to do the match and said he would take McIntyre to hell.
CM Punk was in a much happier mood on WWE NXT this week. He spoke about how much he loved the developmental brand and stated that he had never been in an NXT ring before, surrounded by the NXT fanatics. He mentioned that he used to sneak to the Performance Center to watch the shows during his recovery from a torn triceps injury, and the fans used to spot him and call him out.
CM Punk revealed that Shawn Michaels called him up because he knew how much he loved NXT. He said that HBK told him the show's debut on The CW would be in his hometown of Chicago. Punk stated that he begged Shawn Michaels to be a part of it, and he agreed.
He is scheduled for the show, which will take place next month.
