CM Punk has been riding high in WWE RAW ever since he returned last year. However, his actions could lead to Brock Lesnar’s return in 2025, according to a legend.
Bully Ray has been watching WWE closely and has made many predictions that have come true. The Hall of Famer recently talked about a wild idea that could see The Beast Incarnate return to the squared circle.
Ray believes CM Punk and Seth Rollins or Roman Reigns will be among the final two participants in the 30-man Royal Rumble match in 2025. He further went on to give possible scenarios for the closing moments of the match for the final two men in the ring, in an episode of Busted Open Radio.
The legend added that Paul Heyman could then repay CM Punk and help him win the men’s Rumble match. Here is what he had to say:
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
"Royal Rumble comes down to Punk and Seth [Rollins] or Punk and Roman [Reigns]," Bully said. "Paul trips one of them. This is so idiotic and simple. Paul trips one of them, they take a face bump, they get up, they turn around. 'What did you just do?' Punk eliminates them. He [Heyman] returned the favor."
A few minutes after voicing the seemingly ridiculous idea, Bully Ray went on to discuss another scenario where Paul Heyman could bring back Brock Lesnar to help Punk win the contest.
"Last two guys in the ring [at the Rumble are] Punk and Seth," Bully said. "'Oh my god, what's going to happen?' Here comes Paul Heyman, and then guess who's music hits right after that? Brock Lesnar. Here comes the Beast. The place is going to absolutely s**t itself. Brock comes in, goes right after Seth, throws Seth out. Turns around, walks right at Punk, walks right past Punk, and jumps over the top rope himself. A complete mercenary." [H/T - WrestlingInc.]
Roman Reigns’ Wiseman will have to repay CM Punk for the favor he owes him sooner rather than later. It could potentially result in a Royal Rumble win for The Best in the World.
Brock Lesnar's WWE return is highly doubtful, even if CM Punk demands it in kayfabe
Many WWE fans want to see Brock Lesnar return. A few expected him to show up to join Roman Reigns’ Survivor Series team as a favor to Paul Heyman.
Instead, The Wiseman brought his former client CM Punk to help The OTC. This resulted in him owing The Best in the World a favor that fans would find out about sooner rather than later.
Many feel a major reason why Brock Lesnar hasn’t been seen in WWE since SummerSlam 2023 is that he was seemingly alluded to in Janel Grant's lawsuit against Vince McMahon. WWE’s legal team could be waiting for more clarity before bringing back The Beast Incarnate to ensure that there is no backlash stemming from his return.
