A year ago, CM Punk and WWE CCO Triple H set aside their differences from another era, mended fences, and got on board to do business once again. The Straight Edge Superstar is one of the company's biggest box office draws today.

This would not have happened if things had gone well for Punk in All Elite Wrestling, the company that brought him back to wrestling. According to the former AEW World Champion, who mentioned in his first promo in the ring after eight years, when he left WWE he was sick and disillusioned with the medium. He was no longer healthy and mentally able to push through.

In a massive twist, CM Punk's association with AEW proved worse than whatever he'd experienced in WWE. Or maybe it was his growth as a human being in the past few years. Needless to say, his acrimonious split with the Tony Khan-led wrestling promotion paved the way for great things, especially for the WWE Universe. Taking to his Instagram story, The Best in the World flexed about the things that did not go his way.

As for his current run, it appears WWE is looking to position him at the top of the card as the company moves on to the multi-billion dollar Netflix deal, starting from January 6, 2025, where he is slated to face Seth Rollins in a grudge match.

CM Punk will headline WWE RAW's Netflix debut show, and perhaps WrestleMania 41?

It was announced on the RAW on Netflix Kickoff that CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins would be the main event of the January 6 episode. The show is stacked with high-profile matches, from Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa to Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley for the Women's World Championship.

As per the latest exclusive report, WWE wants The Best in the World to be in a marquee match at WrestleMania 41. While a clear indication of whom he will face on The Grandest Stage of Them All next year was not provided, it is believed to be either The Visionary or Roman Reigns at this point. Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was part of the conversation too.
