WWE Superstar CM Punk recently took to social media to send an emotional message to his wife and former Divas Champion, AJ Lee. The Best in the World failed to win the World Heavyweight Championship at a house show in Chicago, Illinois.

CM Punk is all set to lock horns with Seth Rollins in a dream match on WWE RAW's Netflix debut on January 6, 2025. However, before this highly anticipated clash, Punk faced Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship during the company's Live Holiday Tour in Chicago on December 29, 2024.

During the bout, The Best in the World put on an incredible display, and in the last stages of the match, it seemed like he was going to become the new champion. However, Dominik Mysterio showed up to slam the Steel Cage door on Punk's face, which helped The Ring General retain his title.

Following the show, CM Punk took to his Instagram Stories to send an emotional message to his wife, AJ Lee. In his post, The Straight Edge Superstar uploaded a photo of the song, 'Baby, I Love You,' by the rock band Ramones and tagged Lee, seemingly showcasing his love for the former WWE Divas Champion.

A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.

CM Punk talked about AJ Lee's potential return to WWE

During a recent interview with Peter Rosenberg, CM Punk talked about his big return to WWE last year at Survivor Series: WarGames.

The Best in the World also mentioned that his wife, AJ Lee's potential return to the Stamford-based promotion, would be bigger than his comeback.

"That's the fun thing about wrestling fans. They look for stuff that necessarily isn't there. That's kind of the fun of it. Everyone is talking about, 'Who is going to main event WrestleMania?' 'Who is going to enter the Royal Rumble?' 'Who is going to come back?' They are always looking around this time of year for big returns. I had mine last year, I think hers would be bigger than mine," Punk said.

It remains to be seen if AJ Lee has planned anything for her potential return to the Stamford-based promotion.
