CM Punk reacted to a major WWE announcement on social media ahead of tonight's edition of SmackDown. The Second City Saint has not been in action since his Hell in a Cell victory over Drew McIntyre at WWE Bad Blood on October 5.
The promotion recently launched its WWE ID program to identify prospects on the independent wrestling scene. Zara Zakher is the latest prospect to sign a deal with the company, and CM Punk reacted to the announcement today on his Instagram story. He referenced her "Petite Powerhouse" nickname, and you can check out the veteran's message by clicking here.
"Petite Powerhouse has been ID'd," he wrote.

WWE legend Hulk Hogan shares his honest opinion of CM Punk
Wrestling icon Hulk Hogan recently spoke highly of CM Punk and noted that he would like for the former AEW star to remain healthy moving forward.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter earlier this year, Hogan stated that Punk was very believable and had an "outlaw mentality." The Hulkster added that the 46-year-old was a truth-teller and hoped he would remain healthy for the rest of his run in WWE.
"First off, he's very believable. He's very, very believable in the ring. He just seems real. He's got that outlaw mentality. But the cool part about him is that he speaks the truth and he's very opinionated and a lot of people agree with his opinion. It's kind of like a lot of stuff that people are afraid to say, he'll say it. He's like a truth-teller. So he really has it figured out which is cool, which is why I'd really like him to stay healthy and not have any more accidents because I want to see this CM Punk last for years." (2:06-2:54)

CM Punk had a confrontation with Seth Rollins on the October 7 edition of RAW. It will be fascinating to see what the promotion has planned for Punk when he makes his return to the red brand.
