CM Punk shares hilarious five-word message ahead of WWE SmackDown

CM Punk shared a jovial five-word message ahead of tonight's episode of WWE SmackDown. The Second City Saint is scheduled to compete in a marquee match when RAW debuts on Netflix on January 6.

Ahead of tonight's edition of the blue brand, Punk took to his Instagram story with a hilarious message. He reshared AEW star Danhausen's humorous image and joked that he has had nightmares like this. You can check out the interaction on the 46-year-old's Instagram story by clicking here.

The former AEW World Champion will be squaring off against Seth Rollins on RAW's debut show on Netflix on January 6, 2025. The Visionary and The Second City Saint were rumored to battle at WrestleMania XL earlier this year, but Punk suffered a torn triceps during the Men's Royal Rumble Match and was unable to compete on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

WWE legend reacts to brawl between CM Punk and Seth Rollins on RAW

Wrestling icon Teddy Long recently shared his thoughts on the brawl between Seth Rollins and CM Punk on the red brand ahead of their match next month on Netflix.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Wrestling Time Machine podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed what bothered him about the brawl on RAW earlier this month. The legend stated that General Manager Adam Pearce should have threatened to suspend Rollins and CM Punk if they did not get things under control.

"When I see something that could be better, it bothers me. So I am saying I would have liked to see maybe two real strong pull-parts, ok? Now, after you do that, when they go to do that third one, here comes the GM... Adam Pearce comes down, and he puts a foot down and let these two guys know, 'Listen, one more thing and you are suspended, or either you are out' or whatever," Long said. [1:20 onwards]

CM Punk was involved in a personal rivalry with Drew McIntyre earlier this year and defeated The Scottish Warrior in a Hell in a Cell match at WWE Bad Blood. It will be interesting to see if The Best In The World can defeat Seth Rollins on January 6.
