WWE fans witnessed CM Punk's massive return to the Stamford-based promotion at last year's Survivor Series after almost a decade. Recently, The Best in the World revealed what the legendary Stone Cold Steve Austin's first reaction was to his comeback at the premium live event in 2023.

The Second City Saint spent two years in Tony Khan's promotion, capturing the World Championship twice. However, due to a backstage altercation with Jack Perry at the All In pay-per-view in August 2023, Punk was released from AEW.

Three months later at the 2023 WWE Survivor Series: WarGames, The Voice of The Voiceless made his much-awaited return to the Sports Entertainment juggernaut in his hometown of Chicago.

During a recent interview with O’Shea Jackson Jr. and TJ Jefferson on an episode of No-Contest Wrestling, CM Punk described his experience arriving at the Allstate Arena before his TV return. He noted that security provided him with a black outfit and told him to wait in his car.

Parked next to him was a TV truck with a giant image of The Texas Rattlesnake on it. The former WWE Champion took a picture of himself and sent it to Stone Cold Steve Austin, who responded with surprise and humor:

"I'm parked next to the TV truck and it's just Steve Austin's head looking at me the whole time. So I took a picture, sent it to Steve and he hit me back with the 'WTF kid!'"

WWE star CM Punk discloses what "CM" actually stands for

During the same interaction on No-Contest Wrestling with O’Shea Jackson Jr. and TJ Jefferson, CM Punk finally disclosed the meaning behind the first part of his ring name.

Despite the widespread belief that 'CM' stood for 'Chicago Made,' The Straight Edge Superstar clarified that it actually represents 'Chick Magnet.' The former World Heavyweight Champion said:

"The CM thing, it originally stood for 'Chick Magnet' and I tried to get rid of that because I thought that was a little silly. But, it kinda stuck and became CM Punk and I just, like, I can't really complain because things sort of worked out okay. We're doing alright."
