Injured WWE Superstar, CM Punk made his presence felt in Glasgow this past weekend by preventing Drew McIntyre from becoming the World Heavyweight Champion. He later revealed that he still isn't cleared for in-ring action, but he hoped that it would happen soon.

The two veterans have worked an excellent story in the last few months, even though they never really got physical owing to Punk's injury limitations. Naturally, The Straight Edge Superstar is the first opponent fans would have in mind for McIntyre at this point. However, any chance of the first-ever clash being contested under Hell in a Cell or Ladder Match rules went out the window.

Punk ridiculed a "fantasy booking" scenario with Drew McIntyre and CM Punk inside Hell in a Cell straight off the bat—proposed by a media personality during the Clash at the Castle: Scotland post-show press conference:

"I mean this with all due respect, this is why I’m happy you do not run a professional wrestling company. First match is a Hell in a Cell? Brother, you gotta take that fantasy booking sh*t somewhere else," Punk said. "I don't want to ever do Hell in a Cell. I don't want to ever do a Ladder match. I'm gonna beat him up with my two fists, right? He wants to make fun of my triceps, I'm gonna hurt him with it." [From 24:38 to 25:20]

The Second City Saint further elaborated on the animosity with Drew McIntyre in WWE. He pointed to the main reason being that the Scot was "gleeful" when the former got sidelined with an injury.

This wasn't ethical according to Punk and he said that he does not wish for any of his peers to get injured. He also added that since McIntyre prayed for his injury, he will prey on the latter.

Where does Drew McIntyre go from here after WWE Clash at the Castle?

Unfortunately for Drew McIntyre, his biggest match to date was crashed by CM Punk.

Some feel that Punk is now a heel by default, McIntyre too is floating somewhere in between being a face and a heel. How their character dynamics and storyline in WWE play out in the coming weeks bears watching.

The Scottish Warrior has alleged that CM Punk hurt him both professionally and personally during his first stint in WWE. Since the major loss on Saturday, Drew McIntyre has not said anything, not even on social media!
