CM Punk has sent messages to three young guns who recently signed WWE Independent Development contracts. The names Punk welcomed in his Instagram stories are Zayda Steel, Bryce Donovan, and Cappuccino Jones.
Last week, WWE announced its new Independent Development project. The Stamford-based company also teased signing 20 names to the program. Earlier today, the company started announcing the prospects signed to the program.
WWE Superstar CM Punk welcomed three young stars who were signed to the program. For Zayda, he simply wrote, "Welcome to the program." He wrote how Bryce "has been ID'd."
Finally, for Jones, Punk wrote:
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
"Freshly brewed, freshly ID'd."

CM Punk talks about frequently visiting the WWE Performance Center
Punk has been quite receptive to WWE's young stars in NXT, often interacting with them and offering them advice. He has also paid multiple visits to the WWE Performance Center over the past year or so.
Recently, Punk appeared on the No Contest Wrestling podcast and opened up about why he often visits the WWE Performance Center. Here's what he said:
“I go home to my wife just completely humbled and emotional about it. I woke up one day and I was this dude. When kids come up to me and they’re comfortable enough to be like, ‘Hey, look at this,’ and it’s a picture of them when they’re little at an autograph signing and they tell me, ‘Hey, you inspired me to do this.’ It’s just like me getting to tell Roddy Piper, ‘Hey, you’re the reason I did this,’ and I don’t know if it meant anything to [Piper], but it meant something to me to be able to tell him that.” [H/T 411Mania]
Punk is currently on a hiatus from WWE TV. He spent the past few months feuding with former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre. The feud ended inside Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood 2024, where Punk defeated McIntyre.
