Cody Rhodes recently discussed his aspirations outside the WWE ring. The 39-year-old disclosed that he would like to pursue another career after transitioning into a part-time competitor.
The American Nightmare is currently the top babyface in the Stamford-based company. The 39-year-old has held the Undisputed WWE Championship since WrestleMania 40. In a recent interview with 2 Bears, 1 Cave, he disclosed that he would like to continue to work full-time at the highest level until the age of 45 before transitioning into a part-time superstar.
Meanwhile, Rhodes is seemingly planning his life after his eventual departure from full-time wrestling. Cody revealed that he would like to pursue acting in movies and TV shows.

"I would love to tell stories like we do in the ring in a different fashion. [You wanna do shows and movies?] Yeah, I would. I'd absolutely love to do it. But I've always been so linked into wrestling and coming back to WWE, where, winning the championship for WWE is essentially like being the quarterback of the team. So, it's been the most fun and rewarding time I've ever had in my career. but I can definitely see; I don't think I'd be able to do it on this level because I feel the best I've ever felt," he said. The American Nightmare had a heated feud with The Rock heading into WrestleMania 40. Before going on a hiatus, The Final Boss promised Cody Rhodes that their rivalry was far from over.
Speaking on her Eyes Up Here podcast, wrestling veteran Francine suggested fans cheering The Rock upon his anticipated return could lead the 39-year-old champion to turn heel.
"They [fans] might [like The Rock again when he comes back]. And maybe, this brings Cody out. And maybe, that's where the heel turn begins," she said.
Many fans believe Rhodes has dropped hints of a potential heel turn over the past few weeks. It will be interesting to see if he undergoes a significant character change in 2025.
