Cody Rhodes admits to massive mistake in AEW; details major difference in WWE

WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes has discussed a massive difference between his second run with the Stamford-based promotion and his time in AEW. He also spoke about his recent success in the global juggernaut.

Rhodes' first stint with World Wrestling Entertainment lasted between 2006 and 2016. After exiting the Stamford-based company, he started performing for different pro wrestling promotions. The American Nightmare then became one of the Executive Vice Presidents of All Elite Wrestling, where he made a huge name for himself and helped elevate the Tony Khan-led organization.

Cody Rhodes returned to WWE in 2022 and has since become one of the biggest babyfaces of the company. He is also the current Undisputed WWE Champion.

During a recent edition of the Behind the Turnbuckle podcast, the host asked Rhodes what he thought he would do differently in his second run with the Stamford-based promotion. He said everything changed in his second run with World Wrestling Entertainment because of his experience in front of live crowds.

The American Nightmare also mentioned that he is not always at his best when he has not been produced during shows, seemingly referencing his time in AEW.

"It really came down to having enough experience and having enough kind of equity, more than anything, enough experience in front of live crowds to know that I am absolutely open to collaboration and absolutely I am somebody who needs to be produced. When I have not been produced, I've been too indulgent, I've not always been at my best," Rhodes said. [33:54 - 34:20]

WWE Hall of Famer wants to face Cody Rhodes

During an episode of his 1 Of A Kind podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam said he had much respect for Cody Rhodes and would love to face him for the Undisputed WWE Championship at some point.

"Absolutely. Absolutely, I would love to. I like Cody. I respect him, and I would definitely, definitely be up for that. Absolutely."

Cody Rhodes is now set to team up with Randy Orton and Kevin Owens to lock horns with the new Bloodline at the 2024 Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. It will be interesting to see which team will come out on top.
