After 17 years, Cody Rhodes is finally the face of World Wrestling Entertainment. And he did it with flair, as he ended Roman Reigns' reign as Undisputed WWE Champion at 1,316 days, the fourth longest in the company's rich and storied history.
Four months after WrestleMania, WWE is once again set to produce one of its biggest shows of the year. SummerSlam will emanate from the Cleveland Browns Stadium on August 3. Ironically, The American Nightmare is defending his belt against yet another Samoan.
Taking to X, Rhodes announced that before putting his title on the line against Solo Sikoa, he intends to raise 100,000 dollars for The V Foundation, which focuses on fundraising for cancer research and scientists.
"JOIN US the morning of @SummerSlam before I take on Solo Sikoa - I’ll be packing meals for The Greater Cleveland Food Bank and helping wrestling fans raise money for the @TheVFoundation My personal goal is $100,000," Cody Rhodes wrote.

WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H recently hinted that Roman Reigns could make an appearance before or at SummerSlam. The Tribal Chief disappeared after his monumental loss on the grand stage in April.
Jim Cornette believes there is a major threat for Cody Rhodes on WWE SmackDown, and it is not a Samoan
The Bloodline has been running things in World Wrestling Entertainment in recent times thanks to Roman Reigns transcending the sports entertainment medium to a wider audience.
Many feel that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, whom Cody Rhodes predicted he would face within the next year, Solo Sikoa, or even Reigns himself could be the one who ultimately ends The American Nightmare's reign. However, legendary wrestling veteran Jim Cornette believes a strong argument can be made for Randy Orton, who has seemingly been dropping subtle hints on SmackDown.
Speaking on The Jim Cornette Experience, the veteran stated that Orton looks at the Undisputed WWE Championship with "lust in his eyes."
"Orton tells Cody, 'I promise, I'm gonna have your back then too when all those people are coming at you.' He wants him to have that belt so he can beat him for that belt. They don't even have to do this for a year. It's fu**ing great. You see, every time that the belt and Orton are in the same place, there's a point where he looks at it with lust in his eyes. It's just long enough for you to notice and then it's gone."
Randy Orton was taken out by The Bloodline last week. It seems they want to corner Cody Rhodes ahead of SummerSlam.
