Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes recently slammed the younger generation for having a wrong mindset. Meanwhile, he complimented a recently crowned champion.
Chelsea Green is one of the most popular female superstars in the Stamford-based company today. The Hot Mess became the inaugural Women's United States Champion after defeating Michin at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14. In a recent interview with 2 Bears, 1 Cave, The American Nightmare praised Green's work, pointing out that she makes the most of the opportunities presented to her.
Meanwhile, Rhodes criticized the younger wrestlers for lacking the same mindset as Chelsea and himself.
"If you come to WWE, there's a girl named Chelsea Green. She just won the first-ever Women's U.S. Title. She is somebody who everything you ever give her, she makes the most of it. And it seems like the generation that's coming, I could be totally wrong, this could just be old man speak, doesn't seem like they have that mindset. But I always went into it thinking the biggest I could possibly be," he said. [58:00-58:19]

Ex-WWE star Matt Cardona commented on Chelsea Green's Women's United States Title win
Chelsea Green is married to former WWE Superstar Matt Cardona (FKA Zack Ryder). The former Intercontinental Champion recently commented on his wife's Women's United States Title win.
In a clip posted on his X (Twitter) account, Cardona disclosed that he was proud of his spouse, pointing out that she had earned it. He also thanked The Hot Mess for paying homage to him with her outfit at Saturday Night's Main Event.
"Chelsea Green, new first-ever Women's United States Champion. Beyond proud of her. I can't even put into words how proud of her I am. I wish I was there in Long Island, but I'm here, I'm working; she understands that. I saw this girl get rejected from WWE, had to beg for tryouts, then got a job, [and] then got fired. Worked her a** off on the indies, then got back. So, she's earned this. So I'm beyond proud, and she wore one-legged tights, Zack Ryder style. Did the Rough Ryder on Long Island, so thanks, babe. I appreciate you!" he said.
It will be interesting to see what's next for the 33-year-old Women's United States Champion.
