Cody Rhodes made an appearance on WWE RAW this week, only featuring in a backstage segment. After the show went off the air, The American Nightmare defeated a highly-touted 30-year-old star for the fifth time this year.

After the latest episode of RAW went off the air with Rhea Ripley standing tall over Raquel Rodriguez following their "Anything Goes" match, Miss Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton came out for a dark match and was unsuccessful against a veteran superstar.

Cody Rhodes, who is a veteran himself, faced Carmelo Hayes for the fifth time in 2024 in a dark match and defeated him to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship.

There is a lot of speculation that Rhodes will be moving over to RAW due to the red brand's deal with Netflix. While it's true that he will be there in the early stages, Cody isn't expected to make a full switch just yet.

The transfer window rule will allow him to appear in the early episodes of RAW on Netflix in January 2025. This week, his appearance saw him berate The New Day's Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods over their betrayal of Big E.

It remains to be seen what the future has in store for The American Nightmare.
