WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes recently revealed a personal moment he shared with John Cena during his match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL. Since returning to World Wrestling Entertainment, Rhodes had been extremely vocal about finishing his story by dethroning Reigns as the Undisputed WWE Champion.

After an unsuccessful attempt at WrestleMania 39, The American Nightmare finally defeated The Tribal Chief at this year's Show of Shows with some help from John Cena, Jey Uso, Seth Rollins, and The Undertaker, who came out to even the odds against The Bloodline.

During an edition of Behind The Turnbuckle podcast, the host asked Cody Rhodes about his greatest moment in wrestling. Rhodes said his greatest moment in wrestling came at WWE WrestleMania XL when he shared eye contact with John Cena for a brief moment before dethroning Roman Reigns.

The American Nightmare also mentioned that he learned more in that moment with Cena than he has ever learned in his life.

"We're in the ring and [The] Undertaker and [The] Rock have now had their moment and John [Cena] is off camera against the back wall watching the end of Roman [Reigns] and I as we're both coming up and I just got to make eye contact with John and I don't think I've ever learned anything more in my life than just the moment of eye contact with the captain, the leader, the dude and he's out here to be part of this for me. Like even now, it's super touching but having that moment with him, just a brief little contact with him, knowing where I'm about to turn around and what's about to happen. Uh, that's the high of highs," he said. [51:16 - 52:02]

Cody Rhodes says he was happy to carry forward a good standard set by John Cena in WWE

During an interview on Major Wrestling Figure Podcast, Cody Rhodes said that he does not want to curse on WWE television like he did during his feud with The Rock.

The American Nightmare also mentioned that he was happy to carry forward a good standard of clean promos set by John Cena in the Stamford-based promotion.

"It changes everything, I don't want to curse. I felt bad when I finally bit back at Rock after just absolutely devouring us up with very you know non-PG stuff and he's the literal boss in addition to being The Final Boss so he can do that and I felt alright if he can do it, I can do it too and I felt bad. I just want to set a good example for them. [...] He's [John Cena] just set a good standard and I'm very happy, hopefully, to be carrying it forward," he said.

It will be interesting to see what the Stamford-based promotion has planned for The American Nightmare's future as the Undisputed WWE Champion.
