WWE legend The Rock made his earth-shattering return at Bad Blood after Cody Rhodes' match. Ahead of Crown Jewel, The American Nightmare finally broke his silence on Dwayne Johnson's appearance at the premium live event in Atlanta on October 5, 2024.
Since WrestleMania XL, the Bloodline storyline has seen many twists and turns. One of the most notable developments was Roman Reigns teaming up with Cody Rhodes to defeat the new Bloodline members, Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu, at Bad Blood.
The Rock returned after the match, his eyes blazing with intensity. He made a chilling, throat-slashing gesture towards the OTC, Rhodes, and Jimmy Uso, leaving no doubt about his intentions.
During a sit-down interview with Cathy Kelley on WWE's YouTube, The American Nightmare speculated on The Great One's intentions at Bad Blood. According to Cody Rhodes, The Rock probably returned to remind everyone that he's still the top star and in charge.
Former WWE writer buries Judgment Day HERE
"Maybe a reminder that The Rock is not just this amazing Hall of Fame level, multi-time world champion, the hottest man in Hollywood; he's not just that when it comes to WWE. He actually The Boss, director of the board, and as he's coined, The Final Boss. I think that more than anything is what he was reminding people that he can show up at any point, do whatever he'd like, and everyone has to follow where The Final Boss goes," he said. Cody Rhodes makes a bold claim about The Rock's 'Final Boss' persona in WWE
During an interaction with Cathy Kelley, The American Nightmare asserted that Dwayne Johnson showing up against himself and Roman Reigns, two of the company's biggest babyface stars, served as a warning and a wake-up call.
Cody Rhodes acknowledged his continued admiration for The Rock despite their history, but he views 'The Final Boss' persona as a distinct and more formidable character.
"He picked his shot to have arguably the two faces of WWE in there and squeeze his big, bald, shiny, lovely, beautiful head in there that he's there too," he said. Rhodes added, "I think maybe even inside, I still really like The Rock after everything, but The Final Boss is a whole new beast." [From 03:54 to 04:24]
Only time will tell if The Final Boss will potentially return at Crown Jewel tonight since the OG Bloodline and the new Bloodline will be in action against each other.
