Cody Rhodes' ex-tag team partner was directly responsible for Jey Uso suffering a pinfall on the first SmackDown of 2025. It came in a big main event and it was ahead of their 16th match together.
This week on SmackDown, The OG Bloodline members Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, and Sami Zayn had a huge main event match against the New Bloodline trio of Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga, Solo confronted Paul Heyman earlier, while Jacob Fatu made a declaration of his love to Solo numerous times throughout the night. In the end, it was Cody Rhodes' forgotten tag team partner Drew McIntyre who came out and cost Jey Uso.
Although Jey took him out with a suicide dive, the distraction gave The New Bloodline enough time to pick up a decisive win.
A former WWE writer just went after JBL for his comments HERE
Drew McIntyre confronted Cody Rhodes earlier in the night, offering his help and showing no malice whatsoever to his old partner. Although Cody pointed out the similarities in his story with McIntyre, he refused to entertain him as he felt the "energy".
It looks like Rhodes vs McIntyre is a direction that could be visited later this year. The two stars were a tag team way back in 2010 and were called the The Dashing Ones. They even won the WWE Tag Team Championship in 2010 at Night of Champions.
It remains to be seen how the former world champions' paths will cross in the coming months.
