Cody Rhodes has been building up toward his Undisputed WWE Championship defense at Saturday Night’s Main Event this month. The American Nightmare dropped a major teaser ahead of the upcoming show.
The latest edition of RAW did not host a televised match involving the Undisputed WWE Champion. However, he did compete in a dark match against Carmelo Hayes once the program went off-air.
Rhodes defeated Hayes in the contest, following which he made a fan’s night even better by signing a belt for a youngster dressed like him. Following the move, he turned to fans and stated that he had something special in store for long-time viewers at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Cody Rhodes will compete in a grudge match at WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event
Saturday Night’s Main Event is set to take place on December 14, 2024. Fans can watch the show live on NBC. There are many high-stakes matches set to take place at the event.
Finn Balor and Damian Priest will challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship in a Triple Threat match on the show. Meanwhile, IYO SKY will face off against Liv Morgan in a Women’s World Title bout.
Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn are also prepared to kick off their rivalry with a much-awaited match. However, the biggest bout of the night could see Cody Rhodes push Kevin Owens to the limits and punish him for his actions.
Randy Orton could return to help Rhodes pick up the win against Owens. On the other hand, KO could surprise the WWE Universe by defeating The American Nightmare and taking his title.
