While much of the card at WWE Money in the Bank was entertaining, a veteran thinks the main event lacked any punch. Cody Rhodes' losing by a pinfall in the way it happened also didn't help much, according to the veteran Dutch Mantell.
The Bloodline (Jacob Fatu, Solo Sikoa, and Tama Tonga) took on the trio of Cody, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton in the final match of the WWE MITB Premium Live Event this month. While the match itself was intense, with the babyfaces looking to be in control, Solo Sikoa was ultimately able to steal the win with outside interference.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's SmackTalk, Dutch Mantell stated that he didn't like how the match ended.
"I didn't like that one. I just didn't like the finish. I didn't like the way it ended. It just, it was just, I just didn't like it." [0:44 onwards]
He further explained his perspective:
"I think that match needed something else because it didn't really get the crowd buzzing. I think that was a down note on that match. And they worked their as*es off, I am not saying that. But I am saying for the fans watching it. I mean, they had seen some really good matches up to that. So I think that was a downer for 'em and they didn't... I don't know, I just didn't like it." While Solo Sikoa has had his fair share of losses earlier, it appears he is gearing up for a monster run after Money in the Bank.
The newly crowned Tribal Chief took to Instagram to share a picture of himself on his story, with a few choice words:
"It has begun..," Solo Sikoa posted.
With Roman Reigns currently away from action, this is an opportune moment for Solo Sikoa to make his moves on WWE SmackDown. As of now, it remains to be seen what is next for him in the coming weeks.
