Cody Rhodes' mystery partner revealed on WWE SmackDown; both stars get taken out by The Bloodline

Cody Rhodes was involved in a confrontation with A-Town Down Under during the opening segment of the show, which resulted in a tag team match in the main event. Kevin Owens was revealed as his mystery partner for the match.

During the bout, the former Universal Champion hit a Swanton Bomb before tagging in The American Nightmare. Cody nailed Austin Theory with a powerslam and an uppercut followed by a series of jabs and the Bionic Elbow. Grayson Waller tagged in but the Undisputed WWE Champion didn't see it.

He planted Theory with a DDT and Waller nailed Rhodes with a slam for a two count. Cody Rhodes hit Theory with a Cody Cutter while KO took out Waller with a Stunner. Finally, The American Nightmare performed the Cross Rhodes and got the three count.

After the bout, The Bloodline came out and a big brawl erupted at ringside. Cody and Kevin Owens were planning to put a member of the faction through the announce table but Jacob Fatu came out and attacked the two babyfaces. He hit KO with a running corner attack three times. The Bloodline sent Cody Rhodes through the announce table, the same thing they did to Randy Orton last week.
