Last week on WWE RAW, Cody Rhodes' former tag team partner, Jey Uso, achieved a significant milestone, winning his first singles championship. However, The Judgment Day's Dominik Mysterio is reportedly poised to dethrone the reigning Intercontinental Champion.
For those unaware, The American Nightmare and Main Event Jey won the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Title from Damian Priest and Finn Balor at Fastlane 2023. However, the duo later dropped the championship to the former stablemates on the October 16, 2023, edition of Monday Night RAW.
Meanwhile, Bron Breakker put his IC Title on the line against The YEET Master on the September 23, 2024, installment of the red brand. The Dog of WWE had won the championship from Sami Zayn at this year's Biggest Party of The Summer.
However, Breakker's 51-day reign was ended by Jey Uso, who won his first singles title in WWE after a 14-year wait. Unfortunately, a recent report has claimed that Dominik Mysterio may end the fairytale reign of the Samoan star and become the new Intercontinental Champion.

In an interview with Billboard ahead of Bad Blood, Cody Rhodes expressed his joy for The YEET Master's first singles title win, acknowledging the latter's popularity and the emotional moment the former Bloodline member shared with fans. The American Nightmare playfully mentioned the potential chaos if he had been in the arena alongside his former tag team partner.
"Jey Uso is so beloved, and they [fans] got to have this real moment with him winning his first singles title. I feel like they purposely kept me away from the building because we would have just showered Wheatley Vodka on that entire arena. I’m so happy for Jey. That dude is the man," Rhodes said.
The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion also emphasized his genuine happiness for Jey Uso and hoped for a long and successful reign.
"You can tell from the post-match interview that he did with Jackie; it was all real. When it’s real, that’s when it’s at its best. We gotta aim for it to be as real as possible. Very happy for Jey, and cheers to a long run, I hope!" he added. [H/T: Billboard]
Cody Rhodes will be in action at WWE Bad Blood
The American Nightmare finally finished his story at WrestleMania 40. He dethroned Roman Reigns to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. However, things have changed since then.
Cody Rhodes will team up with his former arch-rival, Roman Reigns, to face Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu of The Bloodline in a massive tag team match at the Bad Blood Premium Live Event later tonight.
It will be interesting to see what strategy The OTC and The American Nightmare employ to defeat The Samoan Werewolf and The Street Champion.
