Cody Rhodes is a man of the people and one of WWE's top stars for a good reason. Before he reached the status he did post-2022, ex-WWE figure Jonathan Coachman revealed that he would selflessly spend five to ten thousand dollars a week for the sake of other WWE talent.
The American Nightmare is now a big name and travels in a private tour bus. However, in his previous WWE run, he had to rent a car like every other wrestler, an expense the company doesn't cover. During events, there appeared to be a tour bus with a limited capacity. This meant that the superstars who didn't get on the bus needed to shell out the extra expense of renting a vehicle to get around.
On the latest Angle Podcast episode, Jonathan Coachman revealed to Kurt Angle that Cody Rhodes would stay back later than needed for WWE events so that others could get on the tour bus. This proved to be expensive as it would reportedly cost five to ten thousand dollars every ten days, working out to a thousand dollars a day:
“He [Cody Rhodes] rented his own car service. Cody wanted to stay after every single show, so he rented his own car service. So to do that by the day, you’re talking $500-$1K, so over the course of 10 days he’s spending anywhere from $5K-$10K of his own money simply so he didn’t make the other talent wait and the other busses could go and he could stay as long as he wanted to.” (H/T RSN)

The fact that Cody has never mentioned it and that it only came out now from a former WWE figure shows how genuine and selfless the act was.
While one might argue that WWE Superstars earn a higher-than-average salary, that doesn't change the fact that spending a thousand dollars a day is not cheap. It should be noted that Cody's salary during his first WWE run was likely less than what it is now as a main eventer.
Cody Rhodes' tour bus had caught fire ahead of WrestleMania 40
Cody Rhodes' tour bus helps him get around easier and seems to be a more cost-effective way to travel. However, before WrestleMania XL, The American Nightmare revealed that his tour bus had caught fire.
Thankfully, nobody was hurt, and he escaped on time. He revealed that he grabbed two things—photos of his wife and daughter and his boots for WrestleMania 40. He wore the shoes when he became the Undisputed WWE Champion at The Show of Shows.
Rhodes even revealed that he thought the initial noise was a gunshot and clammed up before the driver informed him to evacuate.
