Cody Rhodes currently has several rivals in WWE. Meanwhile, a wrestling veteran recently said that one of these rivals would win the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble Match.
After The American Nightmare and Roman Reigns defeated The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at Bad Blood, the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion was attacked by Kevin Owens in the parking lot after the show. The betrayal came after weeks of The Prizefighter dropping teases on SmackDown.
Speaking on the REBOOKED podcast, wrestling veteran Matthew Rehwoldt (FKA Aiden English) predicted that Owens could win the upcoming Men's Royal Rumble Match following the recent turn of events.
The current TNA color commentator pointed out that although there was no guarantee that it would happen, he felt there was a strong possibility.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
"I'm gonna go Kevin Owens because I think it's one; it's another guy; it's one of the big things he hasn't done yet in WWE. And I think with this feud with Cody, he's being positioned for a top [spot]. So, I don't feel like it's a guarantee, but, like, I feel it's a strong possibility this year with the way he's been part of this kinda main angle and involved with Cody and Randy and everything," he said. Kevin Owens will face Cody Rhodes at WWE Survivor Series, says analyst
On his Notsam Wrestling podcast, WWE analyst Sam Roberts discussed Kevin Owens' turn on Cody Rhodes after Bad Blood. Roberts predicted that The Prizefighter would interfere to cost The American Nightmare the match against Gunther at Crown Jewel.
Meanwhile, Roberts predicted that the potential interference would lead to a one-on-one match between Rhodes and Owens at Survivor Series: WarGames 2024.
"So, for sure, Gunther's winning that big giant title. Kevin Owens is going to interfere, and then yeah, that leads us to KO vs. Cody at Survivor Series," he said.
Owens challenged Rhodes for the latter's title at Bash in Berlin. However, he came up short. It will be interesting to see if he battles The American Nightmare at Survivor Series.
