Cody Rhodes and Damian Priest agreed to a match at WWE Crown Jewel on November 4th. The company has stacked up the Saudi show, likely looking to one-up its predecessors.
In May, The American Nightmare took on Brock Lesnar despite an arm injury caused by The Beast. In similar fashion, Priest decimated Cody's ankle this past Monday night, with some assistance from JD McDonagh.
The creative team's move to go with a similar angle was slammed by viewers. However, the former Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion has shared a positive message on Instagram:
"Ankle is fine," Cody Rhodes wrote, tagging Damian Priest in his Instagram story.

On the Season Premiere edition of the red brand last week, Damian Priest and Finn Balor cut short Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso's tag team title reign in the main event.
There is a lot of excitement surrounding Priest and The American Nightmare's singles contest at WWE Crown Jewel. It is the first time since the former became Señor Money in the Bank that he has been highlighted as a top player in singles competition.

Eric Bischoff is convinced Cody Rhodes will dethrone Roman Reigns at WWE WrestleMania 40
Former general manager of the company's flagship show, Eric Bischoff, recently spoke on his 100% Wrestling Podcast about The American Nightmare potentially facing the Tribal Chief in a sequel to this year's Show of Shows main event.
Bischoff pointed out how close we are once again to WrestleMania season. He then got to the topic of The Bloodline.
According to the veteran, Rhodes and Reigns will once again become the focal point, and the climactic showdown between the two at WrestleMania 40 will end with The American Nightmare winning his first world title:
"And ultimately that's what I expect to see, I hope to see at WrestleMania, I don't have any inside information but that's what I think will happen, and I hope and I think that Cody Rhodes will come out victorious and that will be the end of the Cody Rhodes journey as it relates to his return to WWE," Bischoff said.
The company has already teased the potential bout, as Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns finally came face-to-face for the first time since the RAW after WrestleMania 39, on the October 13th Season Premiere edition of SmackDown.
