Cody Rhodes cemented his WWE legacy earlier this year when he dethroned Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL. The Undisputed WWE Champion has a rare perspective of the business as he grew up around many legends, and is now a veteran superstar in his own right. He gave out some candid advice to legends on how to deal with the new generation, while also giving a significant nod to Triple H.

The American Nightmare and Triple H shocked the wrestling world when the former AEW EVP quit AEW to return to WWE in 2022. The second generation grappler had fired shots at World Wrestling Entertainment and its Chief Content Officer while launching All Elite Wrestling, but the two seemingly squashed any potential beef for the fans, and the sake of the product. It's no secret that The King of Kings and the self proclaimed Prince of Pro Wrestling have a unique-but-strong relationship these days.

Cody recently joined a Diamond Dallas Page interview on Jonathan Coachman's Behind The Turnbuckle podcast, and was asked how he thought wrestlers from older generations can help the newer talents. The 18-year veteran said the legends need to be more open-minded.

"Have an open mind. A lot of the luminaries, legends, old-timers, veterans, however, when they mix with this modern locker room, the mistake is made of saying, 'This is the only way it’s meant to be done. These are the rules. They’re rigid, they’re firm.’ … That type of motivation doesn’t work. That type of, 'Hey, I did it all and I was at the top of my game, so you have to listen to everything I’m saying,'" Cody Rhodes said.

Rhodes continued and revealed what he's noticed about the talents of today. He also suggested the old-timers should be more like Triple H.

"I’ve noticed talent today, especially younger talent, are more independent-minded than they’re ever been. They're more strong willed than they've ever been about what they can do. So, if you’re one of these guys coming in, having an open mind is the greatest thing ever. Triple H being the prime example," Cody Rhodes said. [H/T - POST Wrestling]

Cody had also previously credited Triple H and Vince McMahon for his return to the company. However, he also gave a special mention to Nick Khan for making it happen.

Cody Rhodes set for WWE Money in the Bank

The 15th annual WWE Money in the Bank Premium Live Event is scheduled for Saturday, July 6. The big event will air live from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The Undisputed WWE Champion recently began feuding with The Bloodline again, which led to Randy Orton and Kevin Owens saving him from a beatdown. The trio will now team up at Money in the Bank to face the new Bloodline in six-man action.

WWE has not confirmed which three Bloodline members will represent the faction that night - Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and/or Jacob Fatu.
