Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes successfully defended his title at a recent live event in Florida. Rhodes also shared a heartwarming moment with a young fan in attendance after the match. The moment later went viral on social media.

The American Nightmare locked horns with Kevin Owens in a Steel Cage Match in Miami on Sunday for the Undisputed WWE Championship. It was part of the company's annual Holiday Tour, and Florida was one of the locations this year. WWE stars performed in Jacksonville, Orlando, and Miami from December 26 to 29.

Following his win over the 40-year-old KO, Rhodes spotted a fan at ringside with a sign that read, "I beat cancer to be here." The reigning champion invited the brave kid to the ring to celebrate their win together. Cody even gave the young fan his American Nightmare weight belt as a gift.

Rhodes then hugged the boy before lifting the latter in his arms and waving at the crowd, creating an incredible memory for the cancer survivor. The moment was shared by WWE on its official Instagram account.

A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.

WWE will have one final house show for 2024 on December 30 in Detroit, Michigan. Cody Rhodes will likely again defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens in a Steel Cage Match.

Cody Rhodes to battle Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble

WWE will kick off the Road to WrestleMania 41 on February 1 at the Royal Rumble. The PLE will mark the official start of the WrestleMania season, and Cody Rhodes is set to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship versus Kevin Owens in Indianapolis.

Last week on Smackdown, KO got under the skin of the champion, who decided that he'll face his rival in a Ladder Match to unify the Undisputed WWE Title and its Winged Eagle version at the upcoming Royal Rumble. It was what Rhodes wanted, so SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis made it official.

Following the confirmation, Owens pushed Aldis into Rhodes, who was still suffering from the effects of the Package Piledriver from Saturday Night's Main Event. The Prizefighter wasn't finished as he kicked the backside of The American Nightmare's head several times.

Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens will be the third time the WWE Championship will be defended in a singles Ladder Match. The Rock defeated then-champion Mankind in an episode of RAW on February 15, 1999. The Undertaker outlasted Jeff Hardy in a memorable Ladder Match to retain his title on the Monday Night Show in July 2002.
