Cody Rhodes to square off with massive name on the first RAW on Netflix, predicts WWE legend

Cody Rhodes is expected to be on the first episode of WWE RAW on Netflix on January 6. WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff predicted The American Nightmare's opponent on the historic night.

At Saturday Night's Main Event, Rhodes successfully defended his Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens. However, the match saw The Prizefighter pin The American Nightmare while two referees were knocked out. Following the fight, the former Universal Champion attacked Rhodes and walked out with the belt. He also had a physical altercation with Chief Content Officer Triple H before walking backstage.

While addressing the storyline on his 83 Weeks podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff predicted that a rematch between Owens and Rhodes could take place on the first episode of RAW on Netflix:

"I think Netflix. Too much other business needs to be done before the end of January. And I think if they're going to do the rematch, I think they set it up perfectly here. I think if you waited too long, it would lose momentum. I would keep the gas on it, keep the momentum on it, keep the focus on it. But I would deliver it definitely on Netflix," he said. Will another WWE title be defended on the January 6 edition of RAW?

One match has been officially announced for the first RAW on Netflix as Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa will clash in Tribal Combat. On his Notsam Wrestling podcast, WWE analyst Sam Roberts suggested Liv Morgan could also defend her Women's World Championship against Rhea Ripley on the same episode.

Morgan and The Eradicator's feud has been going on for several months. Although Ripley failed to dethrone the 30-year-old champion, the two superstars had a staredown last night on Saturday Night's Main Event, seemingly hinting at another square-off for the title:

"Staredown of equals and you're like 'It's not so cut and dry who would win that match.' And I don't know, is that a January 6 match? Is that a Netflix RAW match? I mean, this Netflix RAW, one match announced for it so far already and it's like a match that people were wondering if it was gonna headline WrestleMania this year, Roman and Solo. Are we gonna just load this thing up? Are we talking about Liv and Rhea on the 6th?" Roberts said.

The first RAW on Netflix is expected to have big moments and huge matches. It would be interesting to see if rematches between Ripley & Morgan and Kevin Owens & Cody Rhodes will happen.
