Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has been involved in multiple storylines since capturing the title at WrestleMania XL. A former WWE host now thinks he must square off against Randy Orton and another top RAW star.

The American Nightmare has much history with The Viper since they were part of The Legacy several years ago. On his The Wrestling Matt podcast, former RAW Talk host Matt Camp suggested they must eventually clash. Meanwhile, he also expressed his desire to see the Undisputed WWE Champion fight Gunther.

Camp stated that Rhodes versus Orton and The American Nightmare versus The Ring General are two matches that the company has to book:

"You have to do Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. You have to. You have to do Cody Rhodes and Gunther. Those are the two that have to happen. 100% have to happen," he said. [48:54 - 49:07]

Cody Rhodes could turn heel in his feud with one of the two WWE stars, says veteran

On the Straight Talk with The Boss podcast, wrestling veteran Magnum T.A. addressed the possibility of Cody Rhodes turning heel. Although he claimed that The American Nightmare's build is more fitting for the underdog role, he can turn heel if he enters a feud with Randy Orton.

The veteran claimed the Undisputed WWE Champion could reach a level of frustration in his potential rivalry with The Viper that he would take a shortcut to hold on to his title:

"As great as Roman looked, everything else, Randy's stuff looks like he could rip his head off and throw him out, you know, throw him in the trash can. So, to imagine Cody reaching some level of frustration that he has to take a shortcut to hold on to the thing and elevate Randy to a crazy frenzy of everybody really wanting him to beat Cody, it could happen," he said.

Rhodes is currently involved in a storyline with The Bloodline. It would be interesting to see if it will lead to a square-off between him and the group's current leader, Solo Sikoa.
