WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes is in war mode against Kevin Owens. Milking the frustration The American Nightmare harbors, a 30-year-old superstar provoked the babyface to almost start a backstage brawl last week. Now, Rhodes has sent a message to Carmelo Hayes ahead of SmackDown.
The Prizefighter had already gotten under Cody Rhodes’ skin by blaming him for his lethal attack on Randy Orton and injuring him. Following this, Carmelo Hayes suggested that Owens was actually telling the truth about Rhodes and also cracked a joke at the expense of The Viper’s injured neck.
Nick Aldis stepped between in time to prevent both men from starting a fistfight backstage and booked a singles match between ‘Him’ and Rhodes this week. Ahead of the confrontation, The Undisputed WWE Champion added a tweet on X with the popular 'Chill Guy' meme.
The meme itself suggests the person being calm and stoic in the face of adversity. However, The American Nightmare used a modified version of the graphic that showcased a concealed middle finger in the Chill Guy’s pocket. Rhodes made the tweet in response to Melo's claim that he was 'Undeniable.'
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
Cody Rhodes lost his cool outside WWE and ‘attacked’ Jimmy Fallon
The November 28, 2024, episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon saw Rhodes being invited as one of the three guests for the show. In a teaser for the episode, the show’s host was seen singing and playing John Denver’s song Take Me Home, Country Roads.
Interestingly, Fallon humorously replaced the words 'country roads' with 'Cody Rhodes.' This made the Undisputed WWE Champion very angry and he smashed Fallon’s guitar and grabbed him by the collar. Moreover, he also seemingly threw the show’s host through a door. But, as can be seen, it was a dummy and not Fallon himself.
While the teaser did its job of marketing the show, it was an unlikely move from Rhodes, who is known for being one of the most kinder babyfaces. It would be interesting to see if The American Nightmare can keep his cool this week when he faces Carmelo Hayes on the blue brand.
